Photo camera: I decided to bring my dear old Fujifilm 5500, it is now well overtaken by others digital cameras but it still does great pictures and good enough for an amateur photographer like me.
Marta instead prefer something more compact: her Sony Cyber-shot 7.2 megaPixel digital camera, again it is a last year model but still fantastic camera, light and capable of taking high resolution pictures.

Laptop Dell mini 9: This small laptop is only 1 kg, perfect for travelling and it is not even very expansive, it came at £299. I wasn’t sure if to opt for an ASUS EEPC but I then go ahead for this brand as my previous laptops were always DELL and I think they sell quite good pieces of technology. The only downsides are the memory, 1024MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM, and the hard drive that is just 16GB but hey, what do you want more for this small machine?
External hard drive: As the Dell Mini 9 hard drive is very small, I decided to buy Iomega external hard drive, 250 gigabyte for just 60 pounds; plenty of space to store our video and pictures.
Ipod: essential to keep us rock on our trip; old gift but compact and amazing quality of sound on this 4GB mini IPod.

Battery chargers: Common battery charger for our photo cameras and phone.
Mini tripod: Essential gear for taking auto-pictures.
International Travel Adaptor Plug: it works in more than 150 countries .
Flash memory: 2GB flash memory to export posts and pictures to be uploaded on the net through coffee’s shops.
Phone: dual band Motorola Razer V3 unlocked and should work fine everywhere on our trip except for USA where we might indulge ourselves with a gift: the IPhone.
